Get your copy of Girl Scouts of Central Maryland and meet the author, Roberta Dorsch at the Aberdeen Ironbirds SHARE Fundraiser, Sunday July 28.
Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, our 100th Anniversary keepsake book, documents the history of Girl Scouts in Central Maryland from the founding of the first troop, the Pikesville Poppies in 1913.
The book features information and photos Dorsch gathered from the GSCM archives and local alumnae. Dorsch, a Girl Scout alumnae herself, began her Girl Scout career over 60 years ago as a Brownie in a Troop in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Girl Scout she earned the Curved Bar, then the highest award for a girl. She has since served as a Girl Scout volunteer in several capacities and is a Lifetime Girl Scout.
Don’t miss your chance to own this piece of GSCM history. Books are only $25 a copy and will surely be treasured for Girl Scout generations to come. If you can’t make it to the game, books are also available for purchase online here.
