Learn about the cultures of the “First Nations”’ and Inuit with games and crafts from Canadian Girl Guides of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Practice being part of a pack as you learn skills like fire building, knot tying, trail laying, compass/map reading, knife/tool safety, signaling and other activities. Cook a campfire snack. Note: Girl Scout Juniors may elect to make this an overnight camp, stay and cook a “gold miner” dinner over a campfire, play night games and enjoy a “Northern Lights” campfire program with songs legends stories and skits.
