Ready Set Design! is a student initiative at Johns Hopkins University to promote engineering to girls. A short presentation will be given to the girls on what engineering is all about and how the theme for this year, Technologies to Help Developing Countries, relates to engineering. Then, the students are broken into groups of 5 and led by a JHU student mentor to complete a project based on the theme. This involves planning a solution, making a model, and at the end, presenting it. Any participants will also receive a small snack during this event.
This is a free event open to all Girl Scouts.
