See your government in action! Spend a fun and enlightening day in Annapolis with Girl Scouts from all over Maryland. Girls will have a chance to mingle with local legislators, tour government buildings, hear from Legislative Pages—teens just like you— and much more! Lunch is included.

Do you have questions about summer resident camp? Join us for a camp preview, where we will discuss camp and share helpful hints to make campers’ experiences enjoyable. This is the time for you to ask questions and get special sneak peeks. Attend an open house event and qualify for a drawing for a discount coupon for one week of camp. Staff will be on hand to answer your questions and help you pick the perfect camp session.

Girls will learn about Girl Scouts and Girl Guides as they “travel around the world” visiting different countries in the five WAGGGS regions, learning about the culture, music, games and education of each. The event is open to Girl Scout Daisies through Ambassadors including Juliettes. Girls will earn the GSCM Be a Partner with the World patch and receive the 2014 GSCM World Thinking Day Patch. Snacks and food tastings will be available at the event for no extra cost. Girls should wear comfortable shoes and bring a handle bag to carry their things.
Troops that wish to take advantage of a discount for the event by providing a display table on a country should contact Laura Tucker at email@example.com.

Fairies, brownies and elves…oh my! In this workshop you will learn about all these fantastical “wee folk,” create a craft, make a “fairy” snack and maybe even your own “wee” friend. This workshop will be sure to delight Brownies. Troops Own “Wee Folks” try-it badge and snack included. This is not a drop-off event.

Did you ever long to visit Our Cabana, the World Center in Mexico? Come with us as we travel to Mexico and enjoy Mexican food, stories, songs, and even dances. Spend the night, and join in a piñata party on Saturday morning. This is neither a drop off nor tagalong event.

Do you like to make things? Be creative? Or think outside the box? Then the Lady EINSTEMs is the group for you! Lady EINSTEMS is a group of girls who are interested in any or all aspects of science, technology, engineering, or math. We welcome any girl who wants to be creative and change the world around her. This group believes that whatever a girl’s passion is, it can be supported through the exploration of science and technology, so, the girls work through various STEM activities and then take on a community based project of their choice. Join Lady EINSTEMS and decide how you will change the world.

Happy Holidays! Daisy-Junior Girl Scouts are invited to come out to this very special program which will look at how science and technology can be found all around us, especially during the holiday season. Throughout this event, girls will investigate the flow of electricity through brightly-colored lights, learn more about the “why’s” behind the cold winter weather, and even explore the chemistry behind making their own peppermint wafers.

Fancy Nancy loves animals and so do Girl Scouts! Learn how being “fancy” is fun, and how you can help animals! Brownies will earn the Pet badge. Since we will be doing animal service projects, Daisies can count this event as a Take Action Project for the “Three Cheers for Animals”Journey. All girls will complete requirements for the “Happy Socks” service patch or pin (can be purchased after the event). “Fancy” Juniors and Cadettes are welcome as aides!
