Campfires – Session 1

Enjoy a Girl Scout tradition: spend an evening around the campfire with stories, skits, singing and s’mores. Patch is included.

Fairy House Magic Festival

Come dressed as fairies, gnomes or wizards. Build your own fairy house and enter it into a contest. Listen to stories about Fairy Houses by author Tracy Kane. There will be face painting, crafts such as making a wand, fairy dancing, a drawing contest, a fairy tea, games and more. A concession stand will be available to purchase snacks and drinks. You will also be able to tour historic Bell Manor. Event will run rain or shine. Registration is required, no walk-ins.

Do you love superhero movies, cosplay, games and other aspects of pop culture? GirlCon_1Then join us for GirlCon! 

A Con is short for convention, in this case a large, multi-genre convention for fans of comic books, animation, card games, video games, fantasy and sci-fi novels, movies, TV shows, and other elements of pop culture.

Enter the the costume contest, earn badges, and try fun activities brought to you by people who love science fiction and pop culture as much as you do! There will be activity stations, panel discussions, door prizes, film screenings for all levels, and more. All participants will receive a patch, exclusive event pass, and a tote bag.

April showers bring May flowers! So, join us for an afternoon of all things spring. Crafts, games, food and a special gardening project are all a part of this spring/Earth day celebration. Event patch included. This is neither a drop-off nor tagalong event; please keep to proper girl-adult ratio.

Outdoor Cooking – Juniors-Ambassadors

Are you new to cooking over a campfire, or are you getting ready to go camping and need to brush up on some outdoor cooking techniques? This event is open to all Girl Scouts and leaders. No one cooks like the Triple N’s chefs! Learn how to cook simple and delicious meals over the campfire. Leaders can also come without their troop if they would like to brush up on their skills. Cost includes a delicious meal, and also a patch if your registration is received by March 21, 2015. Add an extra $10 per group for late registrations to cover rush ordering of the patches if you sign up late and you’d still like us to order the patches for you.

Girl Scout Gold Award Workshop

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can earn. Learn all about what it takes to plan a successful Gold Award project. Questions about the award and its requirements will be answered here. This workshop is strongly suggested, but not required, for girls. Both girls and adults attending this workshop need to register for the event.

Diamond Derby

Learn how to build a car out of a block of wood and then race your specially designed car in the Diamond Derby. Each car will be judged and certificates/ribbons will be issued in up to ten different categories. Will your car be fast enough to win a trophy? Join us and see! Fee includes car kit, patch, participation certificate, drink and a snack. Car kit and race instructions provided upon registration.

The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn. Come and learn the requirements for a successful Silver Award project.
