Port Discovery: Girl Scout Overnight Adventures

Imagine taking your troop on a journey through ancient Egypt; exploring a mystery house; and climbing a three-story tree house; all within one night! We combine the excitement of exploring Port Discovery Children’s Museum with hands-on, educational workshops! Snack, light breakfast, patch, and discount parking included. Programs vary by date.

All registered adults and girls 14 years and older are invited to attend the Annual Meeting.

Registration opens at 5:30pm
Dinner begins at 6 pm

Program Aide Training: Activity

Levels: Girl Scout Cadettes

Cost: $6 per girl

After completing Basic Program Aide Training, girls who plan to work with Troops/Groups or at Girl Scout events, are required to attend Activity Program Aide Training. Girls need not attend both sessions on the same day. Cost is per girl, per training session. Please bring a lunch!

Program Aide Training: Basic

Levels: Girl Scout Cadettes

Cost: $7 per girl

This leadership workshop will teach girls the basic aspects of becoming a Program Aide (responsibilities of leadership, Girl Scout basics, growth and development, the group process, etc). Completion of Basic Program Aide training is required prior to taking the Activity or Outdoor Program Aide sections.

Dolly and Me Fashion Party

Levels: Girl Scout Daisies – Brownies

Cost: $10 per girl

Hey girls!  It’s a fun filled day just for you and your favorite doll.  Enjoy scrumptious goodies at a tea party, get crafty with your friends, and take part in a fashion show where you and your doll are the stars!!  All groups must provide enough adults to meet Activity Checkpoint requirements.  This is not a drop off event.

Bronze Journey Marathon

Level: Girl Scout Juniors

Cost: $45 for girls, $15 for adults

Register by December 1 or when full

At this event, girls will be able to complete most of the prerequisite work up to the TAP (Take Action Project) for the Girl Scout Bronze Award by working on the Journey requirements and a badge.  Girl Books, lunch dinner and snacks are included.  This is not a drop off event.

Annual Encampment

Levels: Girl Scout Juniors-Ambassadors

Cost: This event costs $45 per girl, $20 per adult. (Registrations received after April 1 will incur a $10 late registration fee)

Come join us at the annual encampment at the beautiful rustic Camp Conowingo. Bring your own tent and pitch it in the great outdoors of the Bald Eagle field. Hone your camp skills and try your hand at a variety of activities. Girl Scout Juniors through Ambassadors are welcome! There will be activities for all ages! Think you are too old to participate in this event? Then come out and volunteer! No matter what your part, camper, leader, volunteer, it is guaranteed to be a fun filled weekend you will always remember.

No registrations will be accepted after April 29, 2013.

College Tour and Survival Guide

This Girl Scout event is sponsored and run by Kappa Delta Sorority.

This event is for Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors.

Girls will be given a tour of the campus by sisters of Kappa Delta Sorority. After the tour they will be educated on how to prepare for college, including the application process, and scholarships. At the conclusion of the event the girls will attend a Q&A session where they will be able to ask questions about the college experience and what to expect.
