Girl Scout Day Camp at Piney Run: Mythology of the Americas
Who: Registered Girl Scouts in grades 1-6
Where: Sykesville, Maryland (Carroll County)
When: June 24-28, 2013
Time: 9 am–3:30 pm (Monday-Friday)
Cost: $100 ($80 for additional siblings)
Registration is by mail only – applications must be postmarked between March 4 and March 8, 2013. E-mail questions concerning registration to gsdcprp@yahoo.com.
The fee includes bus transportation, program materials, patch, park fees, insurance, T-shirt, etc. Girls provide their own lunches and drinks. Piney Run Day Camp is looking for volunteers to assist at camp. Please consider volunteering full-time for the week and receive a refund of $100 in camper’s fees or for a minimum of three days for a $50 rebate. To receive the rebate, volunteers will need to attend all training sessions. Leadership opportunities are available for girls in grades 6–12 and tag-a-long/childcare is available for children ages 2 ½ to 5.

For girls in grades K-3 and their mothers
This is an opportunity for daughters and moms to experience overnight camp together. Conowingo’s trained staff will provide all activities and meals; parents will provide supervision. Come meet the camp staff, see the facilities and experience fun camp activities such as crafts, nature, swimming, campfire, songs, s’mores and more! Every girl will earn a camping fun patch.
$30 per person

Howard County Day Camp: Camp Olympus—Quest for Adventure!
Climb Camp Olympus on a quest for adventure with Heidi the Raccoon! Explore ruins, compete in the games and celebrate with the whole camp. Campers will also enjoy traditional camp activities such as nature exploration, archery, songs, crafts and dance. All campers and staff will receive a camp t-shirt and camp patch. Don’t miss out on this ancient quest for knowledge, adventure and fun!
Who: Registered Girl Scouts grades K-12 (grades for Fall 2013)
Where: Camp Ilchester, Ellicott City, Maryland
When: July 8-12, 9 am – 3:30 pm (session 2)
Cost:
- For girls in grades 1-5, $150
- For girls in grade 6, $160 (includes a sleep over)
- For Program Aide Training (grade 7), $85
- For Program Aides (grades 8-12), $25
Transportation: Campers are transported to camp via bus from various points in Howard County.
Registration: In-person registration will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in the Clementine Peterson Activity Center located at Camp Ilchester. Registration information will be distributed to all Howard County Girl Scouts through their Service Units and troop/group leaders.
Girl Scouts and adult volunteers outside of Howard County may obtain a registration form by contacting: GSHCDC at www.gshcdc.org or e-mail gshcdaycamp@yahoo.com or GSCM’s Volunteer Resource Center.
Adult Volunteers: HCGSDC is run entirely by volunteers. The number of campers we can accept depends on the number of moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandparents and siblings over age 18 willing to give their time as unit leaders, assistants and program staff. No experience necessary—we will train you! Staff benefits include advance placement of your camper and a camp fee rebate, free t-shirt and patch and an on-site program for younger siblings, three years and older. Come join the fun!

Did you ever wonder what it’s like to be a part of a rowing team…well this is your chance to find out with coaches and members of the Annapolis Junior Rowing Association. Spend time on the water and on land learning boat handling and rowing techniques, general conditioning on the ergometer (rowing machine), and land-based workouts. End the week with a short race to test your rowing skills!

Troop Adventure Camp (T.A.C.)
For Girl Scout troops with girls in grades 4-12
Troop Adventure Camp (TAC) is an awesome way for troops to participate in summer camp together. All activities are planned for you! You and your troop will participate in summer camp activities such as swimming, singing, canoeing, campfires, ropes course, arts & crafts, and more!
$45 per person
Leader Notes: Please make sure to register the required number of adults in order to meet the ratios specified in Safety Activity Checkpoints. You must have at least two adults registered to attend TAC. Leaders are responsible for supervising girls and managing behavior at all times. Our camp staff will facilitate your programs, but they do not live in the units during TAC. Troop leaders are not required to have the Outdoor Training Certification. Tag-a-longs (younger children of leaders) may not attend Troop Adventure Camp. All TAC participants must be registered Girl Scouts. Transportation will not be available for Troop Adventure Camp. Troops will most likely share tents or cabins with other troops. Specific details will be provided in your confirmation packet.
